Our Mission

Celebrating 17 years of saving lives since Forget-Me-Not was founded! Please contact us if you can foster a pet or take a pet for a sleepover to prepare him or her for their new home! Forget-Me-Not Animal Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization officially founded in 2008 by a passionate animal lover who serves as Director today. We are primarily a shelter rescue- saving wonderful dogs and cats from death row at shelters in middle TN, southern KY and occasionally other states. Our founder's dream is to open a small "Best Friends Animal Society type facility" here in the east. Forget-Me-Not is looking for land donation, or donations for land and buildings to make this become a reality! In the meantime, Forget-Me-Not does national adoptions saving cats and dogs out of rural kill shelters and adopting them into new homes around the country! You can help us save more lives! Adoption Policy

We adopt nationally! We have placed pets as far South as Gulfport, MS and as far North as Toronto, Canada! Adoptions fees vary because of transport costs but we try to keep it in the price range in your area. Also, if you don't see what you're looking for on our list- contact us! We may be able to get just what you're looking for! Adoptions are by appointment. We also welcome volunteers interested in helping hands-on with animals to contact us!
