    Adoption Policy

Pet Community Center has a trap-neuter-return (TNR) program. TNR is the only humane method for managing outdoor cats. Most of the cats who go through our program are returned to their original environment -this is the best possible outcome for the cat because feral cats are not adoptable as indoor pets. Occasionally we remove outdoor cats from extremely dangerous situations and place them in responsible barn homes.  Barn cats are available for adoption.  All cats will be spay/neutered, vaccinated for rabies, and will have a left ear tip (the universal symbol for a fixed barn cat).  Barn homes are expected to provide food, shelter and basic care for cats.  If you are interested in a barn cat please contact us at beth@petcommunitycenter.org.  There is a mandatory 3 week re-homing period where cats must be confined in a crate before being released to roam your property.  This will ensure that the cat does not run away.
