Our Mission
Pawster Nashville’s mission is to end pet homelessness before it begins, by providing short-term respite care for pets as an alternative to surrender, with the goal of reunification with their owners.
Occasionally, pet owners are unable to reclaim their pets. In these cases, we will place their pets for adoption. The pets available for adoption are coming from a loving home, rather than from a shelter environment. When you adopt a pet from Pawster Nashville, you make sure that cat or dog never has to see the inside of a shelter!
Adoption Policy
Please fill out the Foster Survey at the adoption application link on the right side of the page. We do not have a separate Adoption Application. When asked why you want to foster, simply write "I want to adopt [pet's name]".

We practice an "Adopters Welcome" approach to pet adoptions. Interviews are conversational, intended to make sure potential adopters are fully prepared to care for their new pets. Once approved, adopters sign a comprehensive adoption agreement.
