Our Mission
The mission of the Fairfield County Animal Control and Adoption Center is to protect the safety and well-being of our community through efficient and effective animal control services, and to provide a safe, humane environment for stray, unwanted, and abandoned animals in our care. We are committed to reducing euthanasia through adoption, rescue partnerships, return-to-owner efforts, and public education on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spaying and neutering.
Supporting this mission is Hearts Unleashed – South Carolina, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 39-3771767) dedicated exclusively to providing resources, volunteers, rescue coordination, and fundraising to benefit the shelter and its animals. Together, we work to ensure every animal has the opportunity for compassion, care, and a second chance.
