Our Mission
Turning Wags into Riches. Until now, Saluda, SC has provided no hope for homeless or abandoned animals. There is no animal shelter, no animal control, and no animal ordinances to help the many wandering, stray animals of Saluda County, SC. We're here to change that.
Adoption Policy
All of our pets receive top of the line veterinary treatment to make sure they are healthy and ready for their forever home. In addition to any necessary medical attention, each pet receives the following treatments: Spay/neuter, microchipping, age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm/intestinal parasite screening & treatment, and up to date on heartworm/flea/tick prevention.

Our application process does not guarantee approval, nor guarantee any specific pet. We will use the information you provide to choose a pet that we feel best suits your circumstances. If you are interested in any particular animal, please understand that our main goal is ensuing each animal in our care goes to the very best home for THEM. However, if you are not selected to adopt the pet of your choice, once your application has been approved, you will be approved to adopt a pet from Saving Saluda Strays for up to 1 year and will not need to re-submit an application. We will continue to find the perfect pet for you!
