Our Mission

Angel’s Hope is an animal rescue and advocacy organization. Our Rescue and Foster Program currently assists dogs in high-kill shelters and those living as strays. Our dogs are cared for by foster families until they are adopted into loving homes. Angel’s Hope often takes in dogs with extreme medical conditions such as dogs that have been injured and are paralyzed, dogs with life-threatening illnesses like parvo, and those that may need extra emotional care. This program reduces the number of healthy pets that are being euthanized due to time or space restraints at shelters and saves the lives of homeless dogs.

While saving homeless dogs is one of our main goals, we recognize the importance of prevention, particularly in under-served areas where residents face poverty, lack of access to veterinary care for their pets, and other challenges in caring for their pets. As a result, we developed a Spay and Neuter Program that provides free vouchers to assist pet guardians with having their pets altered. To date, over 400 dogs and cats have been spayed/neutered!

Angel’s Hope also has a Community Outreach Program that aims to keep pets in their homes and with their families by providing pet food through local Kindness Boxes. Lending a helping hand to pet guardians in need is key to reducing the number of pets relinquished to shelters and saving more lives.

In 2020, we expanded the Community Outreach Program with the first Toys for Angel’s Hopesters Toy Drive. Our goal is to provide rescue inspired toys to children to help them learn about caring for animals and encourage them to become the rescuers of tomorrow.

Angel’s Hope believes that working together with pet guardians, communities, and other shelters and rescues will make a difference for pets in need, one paw at a time!

Adoption Policy

We’re committed to placing our dogs in homes that will provide the resources needed for their new pet to become a much-loved member of the family. This may include training, adding a solid fence to your yard, and other resources that will require a time and monetary investment. Just as transitions and changes for humans can be difficult, the same is true for dogs and we’re seeking families that will provide love, patience, and guidance to our wonderful dogs.

The ideal time to welcome a new pet into your home is when there are no major life changes in the near future and your schedule and lifestyle are stable. Times that may not be best to welcome home a new friend include: moving to a new home or apartment, starting college, starting a new job with an unknown schedule or travel commitment, and/or the recent addition of a new family member. We ask that you take your lifestyle, schedule, and resources into consideration when thinking of adding a new furry friend to your family.

All adopters must be 25 years of age or older and all children in the home must be over the age of 5 years old.

If you’d like to start the approval process, please complete the questionnaire below and visit our Petfinder page: Angel’s Hope Petfinder and our Facebook page: Angel’s Hope Facebook to see our currently adoptable pets.
