Our Mission
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned and neglected animals while promoting responsible pet ownership and fostering a compassionate community that values the welfare of all animals.
Adoption Policy
At Bamberg County Animal Shelter, our goal is to place every animal in a safe, loving, and permanent home. We strive to match each pet with the family and lifestyle that best meets their needs.
Potential adopters must complete an adoption application and provide valid identification. Applications are reviewed to ensure the animal is a good fit for the household and living situation.
We welcome adopters from all backgrounds and do not believe in unnecessary barriers to adoption. Instead, we focus on responsible pet ownership, including providing proper housing, veterinary care, nutrition, exercise, training, and lifelong commitment.
Some animals may have specific requirements based on their age, medical needs, behavior, or history. In these cases, additional discussions may be necessary to ensure a successful placement.
Our goal is not to find a perfect home, but the right home where each animal will be loved, cared for, and treated as a member of the family.
