Our Mission
Meshoppen Cat rescue is a registered 501 (c ) (3) organization located in Wyoming County, PA. We are the counties only cat rescue and are proud to be a no kill shelter. We have the most thankless job anyone can undertake. We are rescuers of the unwanted, sick and homeless cats and kittens of Wyoming County.
At any given time, our rescue is home to over 100 cats and kittens both in our main rescue and in foster care. We are 100% run by volunteers and rely on our followers and local community for support.
As we constantly work to spay and neuter, we hope that this will be the last generation of homeless cats.
Our rescue is always looking for volunteers. Even an hour or two a week can dramatically change the life of a shelter cat. If interested in volunteering, please contact us at Meshoppencatrescue2018@gmail.com
Adoption Policy
We have an application that needs to be completed prior to adoption. All references including personal and Veterinary are verified. We do not require home visits at this point.
