Our Mission
It is the mission of the Shenango Valley Animal Shelter to provide a safe, healthy environment for abandoned and temporarily homeless dogs and cats until they can be placed in permanent caring homes, provide education and outreach of effective methods for reducing pet overpopulation, enforce state and local dog laws, protect public health and safety from stray, vicious injured or sick dogs and cats, and provide prompt, courteous and professional service to the public.
Adoption Policy
we go by application process, we make sure if they rent their homes that we get a landlord consent, if they own then ok, also do vet references on the peoples current and past pets just to try to see if any pets they have make sure they have the correct vaccines and are spayed/neutered or did what they should of with previous pets, then if they have any dogs and want a dog we do a meet and greet with both those dogs
