Saved By A Whisker

Abington, PA

Our Mission

Saved by a Whisker is a no-kill, cat-centered rescue by helping stray, feral and abandoned cats through rescue/adoption and TNRM (trap-neuter-return-management) for unsocialized cats in Abington - Solebury -Kimberton (PA).

We believe every cat deserves compassionate care, regardless of age, temperament, or health status. Cat-centered rescue values and respects each cat for their own unique spirit and considers the needs of each cat as an individual.

Adoption Policy

"Every cat deserves our compassionate care regardless of age, temperament, or health status." Saved by a Whisker

Our rescue respects and values each cat for their unique spirit and considers the needs of each cat as an individual. As our cats have already been abandoned once, we are extremely discerning in evaluating and matching the right cat with the right home at the right time to ensure a loving, life-long adoption for both the cat and their new family. As a result, we have a nearly zero return rate and many happy repeat adopters. We also provide post-adoption follow-up and ongoing counsel, nail clipping and cat sitting services.

Our cats are completely vetted: spayed/neutered, litterbox trained, vaccinated, tested negative for FeLV/ FIV (unless noted otherwise) and are microchipped. All other necessary vet work has also been done unless otherwise disclosed. Any and all known medical conditions are disclosed and the adopter receives copies of all vet work and care.

Our adoptions are primarily to Montgomery, Chester and Bucks Counties in Pennsylvania. We will adopt outside this area on a case-by-case basis.

Interested parties are required to complete an adoption application that includes all veterinary references and other pertinent background information.

Our adoption fees help to offset the costs of veterinary care for rescued cats which can be considerable and also covers microchipping. The adoption fee is paid by check or cash.

Please contact us if interested in adopting barn cats.
