Our mission statement: “Embodying the ‘Aloha Spirit’ through dog rescue by providing unconditional love, compassion, patience, and guidance for man’s best friend.” Welcome to Mahina’s Ohana Rescue! Founded in 2023 and based in Clatskanie, Oregon, Mahina’s Ohana Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to saving at-risk dogs from high-kill shelters across the West Coast. Our mission is to enrich the lives of our rescue dogs and help them find loving, forever homes in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. As a small but mighty rescue, we focus on the “overlooked,” “misunderstood,” and “mislabeled” underdogs—especially pit bull and bully breed types, who face the highest euthanasia rates in shelters nationwide. Each dog we rescue receives the care, attention, and love they deserve, helping them become the best companions they can be. How You Can Help: Adopt: Open your heart and home to a deserving dog.
