Our Mission

The Tulsa SPCA was founded in 1913 by a group of Tulsa citizens who were concerned about homeless dogs and cats and wanted to protect against abuse of draft animals used to do tilling on farms and heavy work in the mines and oil fields. The Tulsa SPCA's mission is to improve the lives of dogs and cats, and their human companions. We value animals and believe that they deserve love, safety, and humane care. We provide safe, transitional shelter and medical care to all our cats and dogs. We place our animals into forever homes where they receive the companionship and care they deserve.
