Adoption Policy
Feral and Domestic Animal Rescue provides vet care to all waiting animals. All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia (FLEUK), Feline Immunodefiency Virus (FIV) and Heartworm (HW). They are given age-appropriate vaccines: FVRCP and Rabies. They are checked and treated for parasites. And they are spayed/neutered. All dogs are tested for heartworms, given age-appropriate vaccines (DAPP, DHLPP, Rabies) and checked and treated for parasites. And they are spayed/neutered. The adoption fees and generous donations from animal lovers make all this possible.
Adoptable cats are shown at  PetSmart on 71st Street and Highway 169 during store hours, with additional dogs and cats brought to the store from foster homes on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fosters also shown by appointment.
