Our Mission

The Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County (AWL) was established in 1969. AWL is a 501-C-3 non-profit humane organization. AWL is committed to promoting the welfare and humane treatment animals; enriching the lives of people and families through adoption of homeless pets; and to educating students and adults about the importance of kindness and respect for all living creatures.

Adoption Policy

All adopted animals are:


*Spayed/neutered at time of adoption


*Up to date on vaccinations (including Rabies vaccination if over the age of 12 weeks)


*Started on de-worming process 


*Current on Heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative


*All cats have been tested for Feline Leukemia virus and Feline Immunodeficiency virus


*All dogs have been tested for Heartworm disease
