Adoption Policy

Step 1: Visit the shelter in person during adoption hours, Monday through Saturday 1pm to 7pm, to meet our adoptable pets. Step 2: Fill out an adoption application at the shelter. You will need your driver's license, landlord's name and number if you rent and your veterinarian's name and number. Step 3: Pay the application fee. Dog & Pups - $50 application fee Cats & Kittens - 50% of the adoption fee This come off of your adoption fee and places a temporary hold on the pet until your home visit can be completed. We CANNOT guarantee a specific amount of time before the home visit is complete because we must match you up with a volunteer who can accommodate your schedule and location. Your patience is appreciated. A home visit is REQUIRED regardless of your distance from the shelter. Step 4: Once your home visit is completed and approved and your pet has been spayed/neutered, you can then pick him/her up at the shelter during adoption hours. This is when the remainder of your adoption fee will be due.
