Holmes County Dog Warden's Department

The Holmes County Dog Warden Department & Adoption Shelter is here for our community and the dogs we serve. We enforce Ohio law under ORC Code 955 while also taking in stray dogs, caring for them, and helping them find their way home or into loving adoptive families. Every dog that comes into our care receives the medical attention they need, including veterinary care, regardless of their condition at intake. Our shelter is funded solely through donations, and every contribution goes directly toward the care, safety, and well-being of the dogs in our custody. We are proud to serve Holmes County with compassion, responsibility, and dedication—supporting both our community and the animals who depend on us every day.
