Our Mission
Licking County TNR exists to improve the welfare of unowned stray and feral community cats living outside in Licking County, Ohio and the people who live near them. We do this by providing education on humane colony colony managment and how to participate in trap-neuter-release. We provide assistance with spay/neuter and basic medical care for community cats in Licking County to the best of our ability. We also help some kittens born homeless find good indoor homes through our Kitten Brigade program. Our priority is to improve the quality of life for community cats wherever we can.
Adoption Policy
Any potential adopter can request an adoption application by emailing lickingcountytnr@gmail.com and returning the application to that email address. They can also download a google doc version of the adoption application from the website link provided. We run a basic background check and our volunteer adoption coordinator schedules a phone interview to review the information provided and what they’re looking for in a cat or to discuss the specific foster they’re interested in adopting. Our priority is to place our fosters in a stable home environment that best fits their needs to the extent possible. Our fosters are all homeless at intake and we try to find them living situations where they are not likely to ever experience homelessness again. Once the background check and phone interview are successfully completed, we arrange a meet-and-greet at either an adoption event or one of our foster homes. There is no fee to apply and no obligation to adopt until they have had the opportunity to meet the prospective foster and decide if its a good fit for their home/circumstances. Adoption fees
