Our Mission

Our mission at Mercy's Door Pet Rescue is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home the most misunderstood, abused and neglected breed of dog in the United States......the Pit Bull Terrier. We promise to stand by the breed and all of our Mercy's Door dogs for the duration of their lives. Our goal is to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets to cut down the over population of this breed. We will strive to inform the uninformed of the true qualities and needs of Pit Bulls and dogs alike and we will only adopt our rescue dogs to the most qualified homes after a thorough screening of all applicants. Many of our dogs have been saved fr

Adoption Policy

The adoption donation for adult dogs is $175. Puppies under 6 months are $200. Please know that your adoption donation goes towards the care that was put into them allowing us to prepare for the next dog in need. By saving a life, you help us save another! ALL dogs/puppies adopted from Mercy's Door are spayed/neutered, heart worm tested negative (if old enough), up to date on age appropriate vaccines, treated for any illnesses or injuries and ready for love. We take pride in preparing our dogs for adoption and have a wonderful group of fosters to help us with that. We take the time to get to know them as best as we can, their likes and dislikes, and what kind of home would best suit them. We hope you find what you're looking for!

All of our dogs/puppies are in foster homes.  We do not have an actual shelter or kennel. In order to meet one of our available animals, contact would be made between you and the foster family after we receive your application.
