We are a community-centered organization that takes a three-pronged approach to managing and controlling the feral and abandoned cat populations in the Capital Region. We focus on using the TNR method to provide these stray colonies with necessary medical treatment to keep both the cats and community safe and healthy. When friendly cat’s are trapped, we seek medical care and foster services for them in order to ultimately adopt them out to loving and permanent homes. Lastly, Operation Snip works with community members in need by offering convenient and low cost spay and neuter services. We try to keep pets with their responsible families as much as possible.
Operation Snip is a small, all-volunteer rescue group serving Troy, NY and the surrounding areas. To help fulfill our mission, we rely heavily on foster homes, public contributions, and fundraisers in order to get the very best outcome for these animals.
