Save A Stray Rescue

Save a Stray Rescue's mission is to Trap, Neuter and Rescue as many stray cats and kittens as possible, to significantly reduce the feral cat population on Long Island. The purpose of Save A Stray Rescue is to: 1. To eliminate the suffering and over population of stray community cats by using humane Trap, Neuter and Return methods. 2. To rescue and foster as many stray cats and kittens as possible from a life on the streets and place them in homes with loving humans. 3. To promote the importance of spaying/neutering stray cats. 4. To rescue cats and kittens in danger of being euthanized at area shelters, from neglectful, hoarding, or abusive situations, or owner surrenders in dire situations.
