The Second Hand Dog Rescue

The SHDR based in Rochester, NY works to help find the right forever home for each dog (and very occasional cat) we rescue. We mostly take in local surrenders, but also partner with local and further shelters in need to save as many lives as we can. We are always looking for volunteers to help foster and to help with many other jobs that are needed. As a rescue, we get no public municipal funding like shelters do, and rely strictly on the generous donations of our supporters. We could not do what we do without our volunteers AND our supporters who help in many ways!
