For anyone thinking of getting a new pet please remember that the cute little puppy will soon be an adolescent who needs training, and you are making a commitment to this animal for the rest of its life. You weren't given a gift, you were given a life.  There are four million cats and dogs euthanized in US shelters each year. That is 11,000 dogs and cats dying EVERYDAY at shelters across the US.  That turns out to one dying every EIGHT seconds.  Think about that, count in your head and picture the face of an animal in a shelter.  There are enough unwanted animals in the world, please don't bring in more.   Public Resources:   Spay & Neuter Resources:   Complete Capital Region List:
