Our Mission
The mission of the Home Stretch Dog Haven is to end all trauma, abuse, and neglect of dogs and cats through:
rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption;
education; and
feral cat trap, spay/neuter, vaccinate, and release programs.y.
Adoption Policy
We meet with potential adopter by phone and then in person and have them complete an application. Dogs live in the home with us and are provided with a medical exam, immunization and a rabies vaccine, as well as, being set up with a spay/neuter appointment with our veterinary partner when needed, each dog gets daily exercise, enrichment opportunities, and nutritious food. We get to know each dog as an individual,their habits, quirks, likes and dislikes, this approach to rescue provides adopters a chance to be matched with prefect pet and reduces the risk of a dog experiencing additional stress by being placed in a home where they don't fit and may be returned to the rescue.
