Hopewell Rescue
Our Mission
Hopewell Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated helping the community to save the lives of homeless and abandoned animals, taking them off the streets, away from kill shelters and providing them with care, love, and shelter. Hopewell Rescue works to spread hope to the local community by equipping them with the education, financial assistance, and help they need to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals. We are more than just a rescue, we are a community, and our goal is to ensure no animal shall have to suffer or live a life of neglect. Hopewell Rescue was founded in 2016 and is based in NY & NJ.
Non-Discrimination Commitment
Hopewell Rescue does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, gender, sexual orientation or age in participation in its programs, services and activities.
Adoption Policy
Our adoption process ensures that you and the cat(s) are a good match for each other:
1) Phone call to discuss your living situation and what kind of cat you are looking to adopt
2) Submit an adoption application by email or fax
3) Meet & greet with your potential new family member at his/her foster home, after which you decide if you would like to adopt that particular cat
4) We call your references and vet (for those who currently have or previously had pets)
5) We visit you for a home check and discuss ways to ensure your home is safe for a cat as well as a plan on how to integrate the cat into your home and family
6) Confirmation if it is a match and you have been approved to adopt
7) Adoption fee of $125, which does not even cover all of the medical costs of the cat; all of the cats we adopt out are already spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and deflead
8) We bring the cat(s) to your home and stay long enough to ensure your new family member is settled in
