Praline's Promise

Praline’s Promise was founded by best friends and veterinarians Sofie Wilson and Amanda Cheung. Amanda helped save Praline moments before she was set to be euthanized and shared her story with Sofie, who immediately adopted her. This experience brought them closer together and further motivated them to create their own rescue, named after the dog that started it all. Praline’s Promise began in July of 2023 after Praline discovered a litter of kittens in the bushes near Sofie’s house. Since then, over 200 friendly cats have been rescued and adopted into their “furever” homes. In addition, over 200 community cats have been trapped, sterilized, and returned to their colonies through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). We are currently 100% foster-based and rely solely on donations to run our rescue. At this time, we do not have a shelter building; however, we hope to secure one in the future through grants and donations. We would also like to rescue dogs as well once we have a building.
