Our Mission

The Cat Maffia Rescue is a foster based animal rescue in Suffolk County, NY, founded in 2023. It is our Mission to support and protect the precious life of animals in our community. We provide resources to give all animals that come into our care a second chance at a a life they deserve. All fosters brought into our rescue are given necessary medical care and socialization to prepare them for future adoption. We network to find applicants that go through extensive background checks to ensure our fosters are going to great homes. We also provide outreach for community members in need, education on the humane care of animals and work to better animal care in our community as a whole.

Adoption Policy

Potential adopters will be provided a link to a adoption application to be filled out after having interest in our cats/kittens. The application includes standard information about the adopter but includes landlord reference if applicable, 3 personal references, and a vet reference. We contact all references ourselves and ensure that the living space is approved to have a pet, that there is a valid veterinarian that the adopter uses or will use, as well as 3 individuals that can describe whether or not they think the adopter would be a good fit for a new pet. When the application is approved, we inform the adopter, and we schedule a home check prior to finalizing the adoption. At the home check we insure the location is safe for the animal.
