Our Mission
The mission of Unchained New York Inc. is to service the chained and/or neglected canine population throughout Long Island, NY. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, we strive to continuously improve the quality of life of outdoor chained and/or neglected dogs. At the same time, we actively work to reduce the prolific overpopulation of dogs through our spay and neuter initiative.
Adoption Policy
Why Adopt?
The Humane Society of the United States estimates that between 3 and 4 million dogs and cats are euthanized each year. These numbers are alarmingly high. We at Unchained New York urge you to considering adopting a rescue dog, rather than purchasing from a pet store or puppy mill. Rescue dogs are tremendously loving and loyal, and all too often, don’t get the chance that they deserve. By adopting a rescue dog, you will be saving the life of an animal, giving them the home they’ve desperately and helplessly been waiting for.
