Humane Urban Group

The mission of the Humane Urban Group (HUG) is to reduce the overpopulation of cats through public education, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and to empower people to care for community and feral cats. HUG is a non-profit organization geared toward improving the lives of community and feral cats by humanely stopping the breeding of these cats by TNR. With TNR the cats are trapped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, given medical treatment as needed and returned to their original location. HUG also assists in finding furever homes for friendly cats and kittens that have been socialized, spay/neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated and micro-chipped. We are recognized by the IRS as 501(C) (3), not for profit organization: we are chartered in New York State. Contributions are fully deductible to the extent of the law.  Every dollar goes directly towards helping the animals.  There is no money spent on salaries, rent or professional fundraising.
