Karma K-9 Rescue is an approved 501c3 rescue in Upstate NY.  We are an all breed rescue but our primary focus is Pit Bulls as they need the most help. Some of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters located in the southern states, others are rescued from local shelters as well as from owners that are no longer willing or able to care for them. All of our rescue dogs are temperament tested prior to placement. All of our rescue dogs are in local fosters as we do not have a facility.
Adoption Policy
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please send us an email or submit an application through our website (www.karmak9.org). Our adoption process also includes a home visit, interview and a vet reference check. Please be sure that all of your current pets are up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm preventative, prior to submitting an application. We do not require that your current pets be spayed/neutered, but we do encourage it. We also require that applicants be homeowners due to the breed restrictions when renting.
All of our rescue dogs will be spayed/neutered and will have the age appropriate vaccinations prior to adoption.
