Our Mission

1st 2 Saturdays, of the month from 10am to 1pm at the PetSmart in Latham Farms

4th Saturday of the month from 10am to 1pm at the PetSmart in Clifton Park

The Capital District Humane Association is the oldest, all volunteer,  no-kill, private animal welfare group dedicated to serving the Capital Region of New York State. We are incorporated, approved by the ASPCA of NY and registered as a 501(c)(3) Not For Profit Charity with New York State; therefore all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We are an all-volunteer rescue group that operates strictly on public support.  Therefore, donations go directly to the care of the animals.  Our goal is to find every animal a loving home. We take in animals on a space available basis and keep them an unlimited amount of time until the right home can be found.

Reminder: CDHA's adoption area is limited to an hour's drive from Albany, NY

CDHA does not adopt to families with children under 5 years old.
