Our Mission
The Dog House offers refuge to companion animals from high-kill shelters who are deserving of loving homes. Great dogs that would otherwise be euthanized are given medical treatment, spayed/neutered, and obedience trained so that they may continue to be good citizens in furever families.
Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process
1. Begins with a simple emailed application to help us understand your needs and what you would like in your furry friend.
2. Next, we invite you to send us a virtual walk through of your home including where the dog will sleep, exercise, and stay when you are away.
3. We move forward with a meet and greet! Personal chemistry is important and both the adopter and pup need to be feelin’ it. Our dogs rarely go home with their new owners the same day so we will make an appointment for drop off.
4. We deliver your new family member to your home where we all sign the adoption contract and you present proof of paid enrollment in an obedience course.
