Our Mission
Height of Hope Senior Dog Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming senior dogs (over 7 years) and and super senior shelter pups who are often overlooked. Our mission is to provide compassionate care, dignity, and a loving second chance to older dogs who have been abandoned, surrendered, or neglected.
Adoption Policy
At Height of Hope Senior Dog Rescue, our adoption policies are designed to ensure the best possible match between our senior dogs and their adopters. All potential adopters complete a detailed application, which is reviewed to assess lifestyle, experience, and ability to meet the unique needs of a senior dog. We conduct reference checks and, when appropriate, home checks to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
We prioritize thoughtful, informed placements and take the time to match each dog’s temperament, medical needs, and energy level with the right home. Adopters are educated about the responsibilities of caring for a senior dog, including potential medical considerations. Our goal is to create lasting, loving placements, and we remain available as a resource for adopters even after the adoption is finalized.
