Our Mission
Cat’s Amazing recognizes that rescues are often at capacity and as such will not always accept older or cats with medical/physical needs despite these cats often having nowhere to go and potentially being euthanized simply for being without a home. Cat’s Amazing works to place these cats in forever homes in several ways:
Facilitate formal, standard adoptions when possible
Place at risk cats in safe foster situations when need is urgent
Work with potential surrenders to provide assistance, guidance and resources to keep the animal in home vs. surrender whenever possible
Work with local senior community members who would like a pet but due to their own physical/medical/financial limitations are hesitant to adopt formally. Cat’s Amazing will provide the support needed if the resident can provide a loving, safe home for the animal and is able to provide daily care.
Cat’s Amazing strives to NEVER turn away a cat in crisis. We fundamentally believe every cat deserves a happy, healthy and life full of love. Homelessness is not a reason to terminate a cats life and we believe that smart solutions can be found for every cat that falls under our care.
Adoption Policy
Adopters must be 18 and older, have either be the lease holder or owner of the home. If renters, animal policy is checked. We ask for 2 references, as well as other pertinent questions on an application. Once the adopter is approved they can choose from the animals available. We will coach and advise first time adopters. We will match animals accordingly to the ability and requirements of the adopter.
