Our Mission
ARF of Mercer is a small rescue group whose main focus is the plight of the dogs and puppies in Puerto Rico. "Sato" means Puerto Rican street dog. These dogs are known for their wonderful temperaments. They are loyal, calm, intelligent, and make excellent family pets. It is unfortunate that there are so many homeless dogs and puppies there. We help by transporting puppies and the occasional adult dog to the United States. We support the spay efforts of our partner organizations in Puerto Rico. A
Adoption Policy
All of our puppies and dogs are spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and have been treated for internal and external parasites. e-mail our organization for an adoption application. Once approved, you can meet our pups and take your new family member home.Â
In order to protect our puppies, we invite pre-approved adopters to meet the dogs.
Puppies are fostered in a private residence in order for them to be well socialized and good family dogs when adopted. Â
