Our Mission
FOHSE is a 501(c)3 charity that aids the people and animals of the island of Exuma, Bahamas through education, fostering, adoptions and fundraising for emergency pet expenses and food programs for strays.
Adoption Policy
Potential adopters must complete an application and answer questions regarding their experience caring for pets, their home environment, and their plan on how to care for the animal. The adopter is required to confirm that they can and will adhere to the standards of proper care, and agrees to follow all government regulations in their area. Adopters must agree to have the pet sterilized if it is too young when it is adopted. A spay/neuter deposit is required in these situations to ensure the pet is spayed/neutered.
