Our Mission
Help Meowt Catawba is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Newton, North Carolina. At the heart of our organization is a community-focused catfé, lounge, and education space—a welcoming hub where people and cats come together. This space increases visibility for adoptable cats while serving as a center for lifesaving outreach, community education, and fundraising.
We support our community through TNR (trap-neuter-return), low-income pet food assistance, and cat colony feedings—all with the goal of helping more cats find safe, loving homes.
We are opening our doors in July 2026 and can’t wait to welcome you in! 🐾
Adoption Policy
Every cat adopted through our rescue receives complete veterinary care before going home. Cats are spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, tested as needed, and treated for fleas and parasites. Adoption applications are required, we conduct Zoom home visits, and follow-up support is part of our process to ensure successful placements. Our cats can be met at our Catfé, where adopters can spend time getting to know them. Our goal is simple — when you adopt, your new family member is healthy, protected, and set up for lifelong success in their new home.
