Our Mission
Our animal shelter is governed by the county police department so we fall under their mission statement which is: The Gaston County Police Department will enhance safety and security through police services which reflect our compassion and concern for the quality of life of all citizens.
Adoption Policy
All adopters must fill out an adoption application. The application is reviewed by our adoption coordinator. If approved the adoption coordinator will contact them with a time to come and meet the animals they are interested in and counsel them on the animal's behavior and characteristics. We attempt to coordinate and find the best fit for the families and the animals. The public is welcomed to walk into our shelter at any time to view the available animals as well.
