Mountain Mama Canine Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue for shelter dogs. Mountain Mama fosters and homes dogs considered to be high need (at kill-shelters, long-term shelter, abused/neglected/abandoned, etc) and is not a rescue for re-homing a pet.
For local adopters, the dog and potential family (furbabies included) meet and greet. If family is interested, the dog and foster will visit the potential family's home for a second visit. This is followed by an overnight stay for third visit. Family may choose to adopt any time within a week. Vet checks are included.
For long-distance adopters, a virtual home visit is completed. Vet checks are completed. Foster may agree to drive up to a 100 mile radius to meet adopter; this is not a meet and greet and is for serious adopters only. Transport services are not provided, and if desired, are on the adopting family to provide.
