Our Mission
Maggie Lu's rescues lost, mistreated and/or abandoned dogs from rural, high-kill shelters in the North Carolina/South Carolina area. Founded by dog-lover, Christa Nigito, Maggie Lu's Safe Haven Rescue works with volunteers to rescue, transport, seek veterinary care, foster and find furever homes for these dogs. All of the dogs offered through Maggie Lu's have been fully vetted, neutered and are in good health unless otherwise noted. We are always looking for volunteers and fosters, so please contact Christa Nigito at christa.nigito@gmail.com
Adoption Policy
To become a foster, or furever home for our dogs at Maggie Lu's Safe Haven Rescue, a home check and references are required.
A mandatory adoption fee is applied when adopting one of our dogs.Â
Adoption fees cover all major medical care, spays/neuters, microchip and all other costs to set you up for success when adopting one of our dogs!
