Our Mission
Maggie Lu's rescues lost, mistreated and/or abandoned dogs from rural, high-kill shelters in the North Carolina/South Carolina area. Founded by dog-lover, Christa Nigito, Maggie Lu's Safe Haven Rescue works with volunteers to rescue, transport, seek veterinary care, foster and find furever homes for these dogs. All of the dogs offered through Maggie Lu's have been fully vetted, neutered and are in good health unless otherwise noted. We are always looking for volunteers and fosters, so please contact Christa at 610-703-6083 if you would like to help!
Adoption Policy
To become a foster or furever home for our dogs at Maggie Lu's Safe Haven Rescue, a home check and references are required. Adoption fees apply if adopting one of our dogs. Fees vary depending on the animal, but are generally $225.
