Our Mission

Cat Smart Coalition's mission is to humanly reduce the pet population via trap-neuter-release (TNR). Through doing this important work, we frequently find litters of kittens born outside, as well as friendly cats and kittens that were likely dumped or abandoned by people. In these situations, we take the friendly cats/kittens into foster care, and have them fully vetted in order to then place them up for adoption.

We spay and neuter healthy kittens at the age of 12-14 weeks, or 3 pounds. If we rescue cats/kittens older than 14 weeks, we spay/neuter ASAP, assuming there are no health concerns.

All cats and kittens are dewormed and de-flea'd upon intake and receive the following vet care as a standard minimum:
Spay/Neuter
Rabies vaccine
FVRCP vaccines (typically 2)
FIV/FeLV test
Fecal test
Microchip

Adoption Policy

Interested adopters will need to complete an adoption application including providing vet and/or personal references (please email if you are interested in adopting and we will send you an application). If approved to adopt one or more of our cats, adopters will be required to sign an adoption agreement.
