Our Mission
Grassroots Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based, no-kill rescue that works to aid shelters and local communities in North Mississippi by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats (and occasionally other animals).
Grassroots Animal Rescue of Mississippi, Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. GAR is also recognized as a non-profit in good standing by the State of Mississippi. All contributions are tax-deductible.
Adoption Policy
Thanks for considering adoption! If you have questions about or are interested in meeting an animal, please email us at grassrootsanimalrescue@gmail.com to set up a meeting.
We are a foster-based rescue. We do not have a shelter facility that you can visit; all of our animals live in foster homes.
If you decide you are interested in one of our pets, you can fill out an application at www.tiny.cc/garapp. After your application is processed, an adoption coordinator will contact you via email.

All of our animals are spayed or netuered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and current on flea / heartworm prevention before adoption.
