Our Mission
We are a registered nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to the rescue of domesticated rabbits in crisis. We rehabilitate, spay/neuter, and rehome, while also educating the public on the most up-to-date rabbit care and advocating for higher quality care for our exotic friends and providing affordable services to our community of rabbit owners.
HRRE offers services like toenail trims, Sanitary clips, grooming, matted fur removal with groom, 24/7 supervised bonding sessions, educational opportunities, and boarding when space is available.
We accept Venmo, CashAp, or PayPal QR codes can be requested or found on our FB page and website.
Adoption Policy
Hello! Thank-you for your interest in our adoptable rabbits.
When you adopt over shop you save not only one life but two lives the one you adopted opening up space for another rabbit to be rescued. Rabbit care has evolved, rabbits are now the third most popular pet in America and here at HRRE we want you to have the most updated information to care for your rabbit/s to help them live longer healthier lives with you.
How does adoption work at HRRE:
All rabbits will only be adopted as house rabbits (living indoors with you as a family member.)
To qualify all adopters must live within a two hour radius of the rescue to adopt due to qualified rabbit transportation services not available at this time.
When you email or pm I will contact you to schedule a short video chat to see the area you will house the rabbit/s. This gives us the chance to see the area and you to ask any questions about the area or anything rabbit related.
Then you and I will schedule a time and day convenient for you to come choose and or meet your rabbit/s of choice. At this time you can complete your adoption application and pay the adoption fees by cash or QR codes.
Together we will schedule your rabbit/s bunny delivery convenient for you to help you get your rabbit/s set up and allow us to get a final groom in before their new journey to their furEver home. You must live within two hours of our rescue to qualify to adopt as we don't have any qualified rabbit transportation services available to deliver.
We highly recommend an xpen or dog play yard to house your rabbit/s for space for them to zoomie, binkie, and flop comfortably and allow them some supervised freeroam time. They can be found at any pet store or Amazon and are less expensive than a cage and or hutch.
Heavy ceramic bowls for water are recommended over bottles because they will drink more from a bowl than a bottle.
They require access to hay appropriate to their age and limited pellets. Their diet should be mainly hay
