Our Mission
The Sullivan Animal Pound is operated by the city of Sullivan. It is not a no-kill facility.
Halo for Animals assists the city of Sullivan, Missouri, with the animals in their animal control facility. Halo promotes adoption of the pets in the facility and updates the pets on this Petfinder account on behalf of the city. Halo offers adopters a certificate to cover half of the required spay/neuter (not to exceed $50).

Adoption Policy
Fees for adoption from the city pound are $30. This includes a rabies vaccination. Animals under 4 months old have adoption fees of $10 with the adopter required to have rabies vaccination done when the pet is old enough. Out of state residents may adopt, but a health certificate is required through the vet (you will need to contact Halo for Animals for assistance with this prior to arriving for adoption).
Most of these animals do not have a medical history available, so a vet visit is extremely important.
All animals from the pound must be spayed or neutered.
