Our Mission
Unchained Melodies Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to freeing the chained/penned dog, and bringing our 'best friend' into the home and family as a companion pet. Unchained Melodies Inc. educates, legislates and rescues the chained/penned backyard dog and fights against animal abuse and cruelty. The goal of this organization is to advocate for the chained/penned backyard dog or any dog who has no voice and cannot help or protect themselves. Unchained Melodies Inc. educates owners and the community, and offers many free services to include vetting, training, relinquishment and re-homing of dogs suffering from abuse and neglect and most importantly, raises awareness in the community regarding these issues.
Adoption Policy
Unchained Melodies goal is to match the right dog with the right family. Each application is read carefully and every adoption application will receive an automated e-mail response if the application is submitted properly through unchainedmelodies.org.
A follow up e-mail or phone call after receiving the application will be made within 48-72 hours of receiving the complete application.
Meet and greets with the entire family are required. We do not adopt "outside dogs" or "guard dogs" We require home visits and we do not facilitate out of State adoptions.
