Our Mission
Minnalousha May's Cat Hideaway (MMCH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of cats in need. Operating as a boutique-style rescue, we provide high-quality, individualized care in a calm, nurturing environment. Our foster-based approach allows cats to receive personalized attention and support in home settings, helping them feel safe and comfortable while they adjust and heal. MMCH is more than just a rescue, it’s a community for cats who cannot find permanent adoptive homes. Through our foster program, we ensure each cat receives ongoing care, companionship, and a sense of security. Whether through rehabilitation, adoption, or lifelong foster care, our commitment remains the same: every cat deserves time, patience, and compassion to live with dignity and comfort.
Adoption Policy
We want to make sure the cat and the adopter have a smooth transition into their new life together. Adopters must be at least 18 years old and complete an adoption application. Adopters agree to provide proper care, nutrition, medical attention, and a safe environment. Cats can be returned to our rescue at any time if the adoption doesn’t work out, and we reserve the right to reclaim a cat if it is not receiving proper care. Adoption fees are $150 per cat. After your application is approved, we ask for a short video walkthrough (1–2 minutes) of your home so we can ensure it’s a safe environment for the cat. We are not judging cleanliness or décor, only safety for the cat.
