Wilson Vet Hospital/The Sparky Fund

The Sparky Fund is a small in-house adoption program at Wilson Veterinary Hospital that is designed to help pets that need a second chance. The Sparky Fund was created in 2000 after "Sparky" became our very first case and was the inspiration behind our name. Sparky was unfortunately hit by a car and was diagnosed with a fractured pelvis and ruptured bladder. He was successfully treated and was adopted out to a family that adored him. Sparky impelled us to want to do more. All volunteers are veterinary team members and we believe every pet needs a second chance. We are able to step in when a pet owner can no longer afford medical treatment for their sick or injured pet. Rather than facing the painful decision of euthanasia due to financial constraints, owners are given the option to relinquish to The Sparky Fund. These pets are given an opportunity to receive the care they require and find a loving, forever home.
