Our Mission
The Fair Street Project is a grass-roots endeavor started by Emily and Kim, who saw a cat over-population problem within a particular SE Grand Rapids neighborhood and decided to do something about it. Our primary effort is to trap-neuter-return (TNR). We humanely trap stray cats, get them fixed through C-Snip Spay Neuter Clinic, and release them back to their neighborhood to live their lives and reproduce no more! Though most cats in the neighborhood are feral, every now and again we come across a friendly cat that tugs at our heartstrings and that is how our adoption program came about.
Adoption Policy
We are looking for loving, responsible homes to give these kittens the cushy life they deserve! These cats must be INDOOR ONLY cats. They've had their time on the streets and it wasn't pretty, so it must be an indoor life from here on out.
All of the cats have been spayed/neutered, received distemper and rabies vaccines, and treated for parasites.
If you are interested in adotping one of the fabulous Fair Street Project cats, please contact us for an application - we'd love to hear from you!
