Helping Paws

Helping Paws Maine is a volunteer dog rescue organization whose mission is dedicated to saving lives, and finding permanent homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered puppies & dogs. We are a 501C(3) non-profit rescue group located in Gorham, Maine Helping Paws Maine partners with rescue groups in Mississippi to bring unwanted or abandoned puppies & dogs up to Maine and match them loving homes across New England We do not have a physical shelter - our rescue dogs are placed in approved foster homes once they arrive to Maine and until they are adopted into their forever home. In most cases, this will be the first home these rescue pups have ever lived in, and our fosters help them adjust to their new surroundings while providing a safe and loving environment. Fosters are the backbone of our rescue group, and we could not do this without them!
