Union County Animal Control

The Union County Animal Control is located at 908 Sandy Lane, Morganfield, KY 42437. The phone number is (270)389-3000. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm. The county shelter only impounds dogs, but will help with cats where we can. Due to the number of animals received, the pound is unable to keep them forever, so their time is limited. Strays brought into the pound are held for 5 days before being available to the public for adoption. This allows time for owners to be reunited with their pets. We recommend TAGGING and/or MICROCHIPPING your pets. We do scan for microchips and check for tags at our facility. The public is encouraged to visit during normal business hours if interested in adopting a dog from the shelter. More information on adoption is available at the facility. We strive to maintain good working relationships with area rescues in order to give each dog the best chance for a better life. We highly recommend all pet owners spay and neuter their dogs. The Union County Animal Control will require all adopted dogs to be spayed or neutered.
