Our Mission
We are a small municipal shelter that strives to protect the health and well-being of stray and unwanted pets in Mason County, Kentucky.
If you would like to donate to the shelter, please use the Amazon Wishlist link on our Facebook page, or bring items to the shelter. All monetary donations to the Mason County Animal Shelter will be accepted by Mason County Fiscal Court and dispersed through our general fund. Earmarks are encouraged on all forms of donations.
Adoption Policy
Mason County Animal Shelter's adoption process

2. Meet the Pet
3. Sign the Adoption Contract
4. Pay the Adoption Fee
5. Take the Pet Home
All dogs are vaccinated and de-wormed on intake. Our adoption fee is $80 for adult dogs and $120 for puppies under the age of 6 months. If you adopt an unaltered dog, you must agree to have the animal spayed/neutered at the veterinarian of your choice as soon as possible and within 3 months of adoption. We ask that the animal will be kept as a pet and treated humanely after adoption.
